Wild forest elephants enjoying the mineral pools
Richard, my fellow volunteer giving the two duikers breakfast
a two person team, doing amzing work in testing, treating and preventing malaria
Sale of bark to be used for medicinal purposes to reduce fever
An army of driver ants on the move – too fast for my camera – but check out the large guard ants standing protecting the sides. I am told that if you have a cut requiring stitches, just take the soldiers, get them to pinch the cut together then twist off the body…
Swimming spot – apparently no hippos or crocodiles in the immediate vicinity, though there are less than 10km away….
How many places can one watch upwards of 50 wild elephants enjoing mineral pools?
Butterflies everywhere, even on the washing!
